SMIC’s Terms and Conditions of Business for arranging this insurance policy.

The Insured has to comply with its duty to disclose all material matters and the Insured has to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information it provides, and the Insured has to ensure it has the insurable interests to arrange the insurance according to the sale/ trading terms. Failure to comply with these obligations can void any insurance contract entered and can lead to claim not being met.
The Insured agrees to authorize Sun Mobility Insurance and Claims Services Ltd (“SMIC”) as the Insured’s insurance broker to act on the Insured’s behalf to arrange this cargo insurance policy.
The Insured confirms that all instructions, documents and information about this cargo insurance relayed by the Introducer to SMIC shall be treated as the ones duly given by the Insured to SMIC.
The Insured accepts that all information, requests and cargo policy sent to the Introducer by SMIC (for relaying to the Insured) shall be treated as the same duly received by the Insured.
In arranging this insurance policy, SMIC is the insurance broker acting for the insured and is remunerated for its services by the receipt of commission charged by it and included in the premium. The insured’s agreement to proceed with this insurance transaction shall constitute the insured’s consent to the receipt of the commission by SMIC. The premium should be paid directly to SMIC but not the Introducer.
SMIC is responsible for arranging this insurance policy, and the Insured should only deal directly with SMIC and should not deal with the Introducer. The introducer does not represent SMIC, and has no involvement in the arrangement of this insurance policy. SMIC disclaims all liability for any advice given to the Insured by the Introducer.
The Insured’s (i) proceeding or continuing with the instructions to SMIC to carry on arranging this insurance policy or (ii) paying the premium for this insurance policy arranged by SMIC shall constitute (i) the Insured’s entering into a contract with SMIC and (ii) the Insured’s consent to SMIC’s Terms and Conditions of Business for arranging this insurance policy.
